2022 seventh-round pick to the Penguins
The St. Louis Blues Make Bold Moves, Tender Offer Sheets to Two Edmonton Oilers
The St. Louis Blues are not holding back in their pursuit of top talent, as they have officially tendered offer sheets to two Edmonton Oilers players. General Manager Doug Armstrong announced on Tuesday that defenseman Philip Broberg and forward Dylan Holloway have both received offers from the Blues. As restricted free agents, the Oilers have until August 20th to match the offers or risk losing their players to the Blues.
Broberg’s offer is a lucrative two-year deal worth $9.16 million, while Holloway’s offer is for two years and $4.58 million. If the Oilers choose not to match these offers, they will receive draft picks as compensation from the Blues. Specifically, a second-round pick for Broberg and a third-round pick for Holloway.
In order to secure these picks, the Blues have already completed a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins. They have sent their 2022 seventh-round pick to the Penguins, showing their determination to acquire these talented players.
