St. Louis, MO – Enterprise Holdings Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Pam Nicholson has received a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, which recognizes the Highest Rated CEOs for 2017. Enterprise Holdings employees voted Nicholson in at No. 21, making her the highest-ranking woman among the 100 chief executives recognized by Glassdoor.

Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing job sites, released its annual report this week. When employees submit reviews about their employers on Glassdoor, they are asked to rate various factors about their employment experience. As part of these ratings, employees also are asked to rate whether they approve, disapprove or are neutral about the performance of their CEO.

A 36-year veteran of the company, Nicholson began her car rental career in 1981 as part of the Enterprise Management Training Program, after graduating from the University of Missouri. Since that time, she served as Regional Vice President in Southern California, Corporate Vice President at Enterprise’s worldwide headquarters in St. Louis, and General Manager in New York before moving back to St. Louis to act as Senior Vice President of North American Operations in 1999. Nicholson accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2003, was appointed president in 2008 and was ultimately promoted to Chief Executive Officer in 2013.

Nicholson is the highest-ranking woman in the car rental industry and the global travel industry and has been one of Fortune magazine’s Most Powerful Women in Business (MPW) for the past 10 years. Under her leadership, Enterprise Holdings – which operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand, as well as the National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands – grew its revenue in fiscal year 2016 by more than 8 percent to $20.9 billion and expanded its network to include more than 9,600 fully staffed locations. Kevin Bacon to Perform at 2013 Soulard Mardi Gras Pet Parade

Kevin Bacon and his brother are scheduled to perform at this year’s Mardi Gras Pet Parade held annually in Soulard, Missouri. The event brings in tens of thousands of parade-goers and their four-legged friends every year, but this is the first time that organizers have booked a touring act to headline the show. The Bacon Brothers, Kevin and Michael, play a mix of lively country rock and pop rock and have played with their band-mates since 1995.  The parade will kick off at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd at the intersection of Menard and Allen Streets.  The Bacon Brothers are scheduled to perform at 2:30 p.m. near Soulard Market Park.

The event is free to the public and costume-adorned pets are welcomed!  If you would like to register your pet to walk in the Beggin’ Pet Parade,  registration is $10  with all of the proceeds benefiting the Open Door Animal Sanctuary, a local shelter featuring dogs and cats of all ages and breeds, waiting to find their forever homes.  So, if your furry friend likes to wear costumes and would like to join the estimated 1,200 other dressed-up pets expected to walk in the parade this year, you can register online.  If you register, meet up with the other parade participants at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of Menard and Allen Streets.  Pet participants are subject to the approval of Mardi Gras, Inc. and the St. Louis Department of Animal Control based on appropriateness, temperament and health.

So come out February 3rd for a day of fun and entertainment for the whole family (including our four-legged family members!)
