JACKSON COUNTY– MoDOT Kansas City will be conducting pavement work overnight along portions of eastbound and westbound I-70 overnight now through Thursday, Sept. 15.
Eastbound and westbound I-70 will be reduced to one lane from approximately MO Route 7 to Oak Grove for partial depth pavement repairs:
Work along eastbound I-70 will begin at 8 p.m. each evening until 6 a.m. the following mornings.
Work along westbound I-70 will begin at 7 p.m. each evening until 5 a.m. the following mornings.
The I-70 on and off ramps at MO Route 7, Adams Dairy Parkway, Grain Valley, and Oak Grove will have intermittent closures for short durations during this time for pavement operations. Motorists will need to find alternate routes at those times. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
