City Officials Confirm Obligation of ARPA Funds Before Deadline
The Jones Administration announced today that all St. Louis American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds were successfully obligated before the December 31, 2024 deadline. This confirmation comes after City officials filed the Q4 2024 Compliance report to the U.S. Department of the Treasury on January 31, 2025.
“When my administration was tasked with allocating funding from the American Rescue Plan Act, we immediately got to work to ensure that this money will have a lasting impact on the lives of every St. Louisan,” stated Mayor Tishaura O. Jones. “I am grateful to the Board of Aldermen for their assistance in obligating these funds, and I am excited for the bright future that lies ahead for St. Louis.”

Some key highlights of the ARPA obligations include:
- $46 million for repaving and calming 30 miles of arterial streets
- $23.9 million for a new 911 Dispatch Center
- $22 million for affordable housing production
- $20 million for citywide housing development
- $11.1 million for Healthy Home Repairs
- $10.9 million for replacing fire trucks
