Details: Contractor crews to build the center of the Glenstone Avenue roundabout as part of the U.S. Route 60 (James River Freeway)/Glenstone Avenue Interchange project.

Traffic Impacts:

Glenstone Avenue traffic shifted to single lane roundabout configuration between U.S. Route 60 and the Republic Road/Harvard Avenue intersection in Springfield
Traffic will drive the new outside lane of the roundabout
Crews will close the new inside lane of the roundabout for safety
Crews and equipment close to traffic
Drivers urged to find alternate routes
Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

(Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule)

Project Facts:

Add lane in Route 60 median in each direction between National Avenue & Route 65
Consolidate Glenstone and Republic ramps to eastbound Route 60 at Harvard Avenue, remove existing eastbound on-ramp near Nature Center Way
Build roundabout on Glenstone Avenue at intersection with Nature Center Way/Republic Road
Widen westbound Route 60 off ramp to Glenstone Avenue
Replace deteriorating pavement on eastbound Route 60 west of Route 65
All improvements can be made without needing additional property
