The Pittsburgh Penguins suffered a tough 6-3 defeat at the hands of the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday, Oct. 18, which may have dampened their spirits. Just a week earlier, the team seemed to be hitting their stride with a dominant 4-0 win over the Washington Capitals and a solid 5-2 victory against the Calgary Flames. Now, they are gearing up to face the struggling St. Louis Blues, who hold a lackluster 1-1-1 record and sit in seventh place in the Central Division, just above the Winnipeg Jets.
