The Canadiens Receive a Pleasant Surprise from Head Coach Martin St. Louis in Denver

The Montreal Canadiens were in for a surprise when they arrived at their hotel in Denver on Monday afternoon. After a five-game road trip, the team was greeted by their head coach, Martin St. Louis, who had left the team on March 15 to deal with a family matter.

St. Louis had missed the first game of the road trip against the Calgary Flames to be with his family. The Canadiens announced on Monday that St. Louis’s youngest son, 16-year-old Mason, had suffered an injury while playing for the U-15 Mid-Fairfield Rangers in Connecticut.

Despite the unexpected absence of their coach, the Canadiens managed to win three out of the five games on the road trip. St. Louis’s return to the team in Denver was a welcome surprise for the players, who were happy to have their coach back with them.

The team will now have St. Louis’s guidance and leadership as they prepare for their next game against the Colorado Avalanche. The Canadiens will be looking to continue their winning streak and make their coach proud.
