The St. Louis Cardinals Break Losing Streak with 6-2 Victory Against Colorado Rockies

In a much-needed win, the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Colorado Rockies 6-2 on Monday night in Denver. Led by Willson Contreras and a stellar performance from Michael McGreevy, the Cardinals put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The Rockies, on the other hand, dropped to a dismal 24-76 record, making them the first team since the 1916 Philadelphia Athletics to lose more than 75 of their first 100 games.

But it was Contreras who stole the show, falling just a triple short of hitting for the cycle. He blasted his 13th home run of the season and drove in two runs, solidifying his role as a key player for the Cardinals.
