The Mariners went on to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 5-3 on Tuesday, maintaining their 1 1/2-game lead in the wild card race.
Arozarena had a stellar night at the plate, driving in four runs and hitting his 27th home run of the season, surpassing his previous career high. His no-doubt drive off of Matthew Liberatore prompted Arozarena to strike a pose in the direction of the Mariners’ dugout.
