Despite sitting out a number of games last month in an attempt to rest his shoulder, Arenado’s performance at the plate has been lackluster. In July, he only managed to hit .175 with two extra-base hits and two RBIs.
Arenado, who is a career .282 hitter, has struggled this season with a batting average of .235, 10 home runs, and 43 RBIs. His last home run was hit on June 21 against the Cincinnati Reds.
