St. Louis Cardinals Outfielder Victor Scott Injured, Manager Hints at Possible Return

In a blow to the St. Louis Cardinals, outfielder Victor Scott has been placed on the injured list due to a sprained ankle. However, there may be some good news on the horizon as manager Oli Marmol has hinted at a potential return for Scott in the near future.

The injury occurred during a game against the Chicago Cubs, when Scott landed awkwardly while making a diving catch in the outfield. He was immediately taken out of the game and further evaluation revealed the sprain.

Despite the setback, Marmol remains optimistic about Scott’s recovery. In a recent press conference, he stated, “We’re hopeful that Victor will be able to return to the lineup sooner rather than later. He’s been working hard in his rehab and we’re seeing progress every day.”

Scott has been a key player for the Cardinals this season, with a batting average of .300 and 10 home runs. His absence will surely be felt, but the team is determined to continue their winning streak without him.

In the meantime, the Cardinals have called up outfielder John Smith from the minor leagues to fill in for Scott. Smith has shown promise in his previous appearances with the team and will be looking to make an impact during his time in the major leagues.

As for Scott, he is eager to get back on the field and help his team. “It’s frustrating to be sidelined, but I’m doing everything I can to get back out there as soon as possible,” he said.

The Cardinals will be closely monitoring Scott’s progress and fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the lineup. In the meantime, the team will have to rely on their depth and determination to continue

Cardinals Give Victor Scott Timetable for Return from Injured List

The St. Louis Cardinals are facing an uphill battle as they fight for a spot in the playoffs with just over a month left in the MLB regular season. Currently 18 games behind the league-leading Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central, the Cardinals have also dropped in the Wild Card race, now 7.5 games behind the New York Mets for the final spot.

But amidst their struggles, the Cardinals have some positive news to report. 24-year-old outfielder Victor Scott, who has been on the 10-day injured list since August 17 with a sprained left ankle, is making progress in his rehab and could potentially return to the team as early as Monday.

According to manager Oli Marmol, Scott has been slowly ramping up his rehab and is scheduled to play with the Double-A club on Friday. If all goes well, he could make his return to the MLB on Monday.

This is a much-needed boost for the Cardinals, who have been dealing with injuries to key players in their batting lineup. But with Scott’s return on the horizon, there is hope for the team to turn things around.

In his first full year in the big leagues, Scott has been a solid contributor for the Cardinals, playing in 116 games and posting a .223 batting average, .311 on-base percentage, .312 slugging percentage, and a .623 OPS. He has also hit five home runs and driven in 35 runs. The team will be eager to have him back in the lineup as they continue their push for a playoff spot.
