The St. Louis City Board of Aldermen Launches New Meeting Management System for Residents
The St. Louis City Board of Aldermen has taken a step towards increased transparency and accessibility by launching a new meeting management system. The system, called CivicClerk and provided by CivicPlus, allows residents to easily track the legislative process and participate in decision-making.
One-Stop Access to Meeting Information
Through CivicClerk’s public portal, residents can access the Board of Aldermen’s schedule, meeting materials, and video archives all in one place. This includes the ability to submit testimony online during public hearings, review meeting recordings with timestamped video segments, and keyword-search agendas, meeting materials, bills, and other documents.
Commitment to Transparency and Accessibility
The move to implement CivicClerk reflects Aldermanic President Megan E. Green’s dedication to making the legislative branch of city government more transparent and accessible to the public. President Green believes that these tools will make it easier for residents to access information and get involved in the legislative process.
Expanded Opportunities for Public Participation
In addition to the new meeting management system, the Board has also extended its contract with Go Vocal (formerly CitizenLab) to create more opportunities for residents to participate in the decision-making process. Originally used to gather public input on the Rams settlement fund, the platform has now been expanded to include ways for residents to submit their own policy proposals and provide feedback on projects happening in their wards.
Where to Find More Information
Residents can access the CivicClerk portal at stlouismo.portal.civicclerk.com and the Go Vocal platform at stlouis.govocal.com. The 2025-2026 legislative session will resume tomorrow, Friday, September 12, at 10:00 a.m. President Green has called several special sessions prior to the legislative recess to pass bills related to tornado relief, and the Board will continue to prioritize relief and recovery as it returns. This session, the Board will also address legislation on accessory dwelling units, comprehensive zoning reform, and investments in North St. Louis using the Rams settlement fund.
