Alvin Kamara Makes Baseball History with Do-Over First Pitch at Wrigley Field

New Orleans Saints star running back Alvin Kamara made headlines on Saturday at Wrigley Field, but not for his football skills. In a rare occurrence, Kamara asked for a do-over on his ceremonial first pitch before the Chicago Cubs game.

The tradition of the ceremonial first pitch is a staple at every Major League Baseball game, but it’s not often that a player gets a second chance. Kamara, sporting a No. 41 Cubs jersey, initially struggled with his pitch, holding onto the ball for too long and bouncing it in front of the left-handed batter’s box.

It’s not clear if anyone has ever requested a redo for their first pitch, but it certainly caught the attention of fans and media alike. Kamara’s second attempt was much better, as he threw a strike to the catcher, much to the delight of the crowd.

The running back’s love for baseball is no secret, as he often incorporates the sport into his training regimen. And while his first pitch may not have been perfect, Kamara’s determination to get it right shows his competitive spirit and dedication to all sports.

As for the Cubs, they went on to defeat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-3, but Kamara’s do-over first pitch will surely be a memorable moment for both the team and the NFL star.
