Notre Dame Football Star Jeremiyah Love Returns Home to St. Louis, Throws First Pitch at Cardinals Game
St. Louis was buzzing with excitement as Notre Dame’s star running back, Jeremiyah Love, returned to his hometown. But it wasn’t just a visit to catch up with family and friends – Love had a special honor to fulfill.
At the Cardinals game, Love was invited to throw out the first pitch. The crowd erupted in cheers as he confidently stepped onto the mound, ready to show off his athletic prowess in a different sport.
Love, who hails from St. Louis and attended high school there, has become a household name in the world of college football. His impressive skills on the field have earned him numerous accolades and a devoted fan base.

Notre Dame’s standout running back, Jeremiyah Love, returned to his home state of Missouri this weekend and once again received recognition from the St. Louis community. Love, who is considered one of the top players in college football, is no stranger to the spotlight and was once again in the center of attention on Friday night as he threw out the first pitch at the St. Louis Cardinals game.
The video of Love’s pitch starts off with him catching an over-the-shoulder “pass” from the mascot before making his way to the mound for the ceremonial pitch. Despite not being a perfect strike, Love’s throw was solid and included his commentary throughout the entire process. He can be heard reminding himself not to mess up, relying on his training, and expressing his slight disappointment with the throw.
After leaving the field, Love admitted that his pitch was better than it bouncing on the ground. The full video can be seen below, as Love joins a long list of former and current Notre Dame stars who have thrown out the first pitch at a Major League Baseball game.
