As the holiday season approaches, many of us are looking for that perfect place to soak in the festive atmosphere. For me, that means venturing somewhere a little extra special each year. Last Christmas, my family and I visited the charming town of Berlin, Maryland, located on the eastern shore and just a short drive from Ocean City. This year, we wanted to stay closer to home, so we set our sights on Peddler’s Village.

Located on 42 acres of picturesque countryside in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Peddler’s Village is a magical destination for the holidays. With its quaint shops, festive decorations, and charming atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to get into the holiday spirit.

As we strolled through the village, we were greeted by the sight of twinkling lights and the sound of carolers singing. The shops were decked out in holiday decor, and the smell of freshly baked cookies filled the air. We couldn’t resist stopping in at the Gingerbread House, a shop dedicated entirely to holiday treats and gifts.

But Peddler’s Village is more than just a shopping destination. It also offers a variety of holiday events and activities for the whole family. We took a ride on the holiday-themed train, enjoyed a horse-drawn carriage ride through the village, and even got to meet Santa himself.

And when it was time for a break, we stopped at one of the village’s many restaurants for a warm cup of hot cocoa and some delicious holiday treats.
