Ben Rice Hits Career High Seven RBIs in Yankees’ 12-8 Victory over Cardinals

In a thrilling Saturday night game, the New York Yankees came out on top with a 12-8 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Yankees’ offense was on fire, led by Ben Rice who not only hit a homer but also tied his career high with seven RBIs. This impressive performance helped the Yankees overcome a shaky start by pitcher Max Fried (13-5).

But Rice wasn’t the only one making an impact on the field. Aaron Judge, who had been struggling since the All-Star break, also hit a home run and had his first multi-hit game. And Trent Grisham, who singled four times and scored four runs, proved to be a valuable asset for the Yankees.

The game started off rough for the Yankees, with Fried giving up three runs in the first inning. But the team didn’t let that slow them down. They quickly bounced back, with McMahon hitting his first homer since being acquired by the Yankees.

The Yankees’ strong offense and determination to win ultimately led them to victory over the Cardinals. With this win, the Yankees continue to solidify their spot as one of the top teams in the league. And with players like Rice, Judge, and Grisham leading the way, the Yankees are sure to have many more exciting games ahead.  Monday

H3: “Yankees’ Ben Rice Hits Career-High 7 RBIs in 12-8 Win Against Cardinals”

In a thrilling game on Saturday night, the New York Yankees defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 12-8, thanks to a stellar performance by Ben Rice. The Yankees’ right fielder not only hit a three-run home run, but also tied his career-high with seven RBIs. Teammate Jose Caballero congratulated Rice after his home run, while Cardinals catcher Pedro Pages could only watch in awe.

Rice’s impressive performance was supported by Aaron Judge, who also hit a home run and had his first multi-hit game since the All-Star break. Trent Grisham and Ryan McMahon also contributed to the Yankees’ victory with multiple hits and runs scored.

Despite a shaky start by pitcher Max Fried, who gave up multiple home runs, the Yankees were able to overcome the Cardinals’ offense. Fried did reach a milestone in his career, recording his 1,000th strikeout, but ultimately exited the game after giving up seven runs in five-plus innings.

The Cardinals’ offense was led by Masyn Winn and Nolan Gorman, who both hit home runs off of Fried. However, it was not enough to overcome the Yankees’ strong hitting.

In a matchup of aces, both teams were missing key players due to injuries and rest. But the Yankees were able to come out on top and go for the sweep on Sunday with RHP Will Warren on the mound. The Cardinals will send RHP Miles Mikolas to try and avoid the sweep.
