Breaking News: Milan Lucic and Brendan Smith Sign Professional Tryout Agreements with NHL Teams

In a surprising move, veteran forwards Milan Lucic and Brendan Smith have officially joined NHL teams on professional tryout agreements. The news was announced on Tuesday, sending shockwaves through the hockey world.

Lucic, a 32-year-old left winger, has spent the past three seasons with the Calgary Flames. However, after a disappointing performance last season, the Flames bought out the remainder of his contract. This left Lucic without a team for the upcoming season, until he received the opportunity to join a new team on a tryout basis.

Smith, a 32-year-old defenseman, has spent the majority of his career with the Detroit Red Wings. He also had a brief stint with the New York Rangers before becoming a free agent this offseason. Like Lucic, Smith was looking for a new team and has now been given the chance to prove himself on a professional tryout.

Both players bring a wealth of experience to their respective teams. Lucic has played in over 900 NHL games and has won a Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2011. Smith has over 600 NHL games under his belt and has been a reliable defenseman throughout his career.

It remains to be seen which teams Lucic and Smith will ultimately sign with, but their presence on the ice during training camp will surely add some excitement and competition. Fans will be eagerly watching to see
