St. Louis Cardinals Assign Blaze Jordan to Memphis After Deadline Trade
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The St. Louis Cardinals have made a major move, assigning newly acquired infielder Blaze Jordan to their Triple-A affiliate in Memphis. The Southaven, Miss. native and DeSoto Central High School graduate was acquired in a deadline trade from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for Steven Matz.
Jordan, a talented right-handed corner infielder, has been making waves in the minor leagues with a .308 batting average and 12 home runs. His impressive performance caught the attention of the Cardinals, who wasted no time in adding him to their roster.
