Our City of St. Louis Recreation Centers will be hosting fun activities for the entire family as part of National Night Out on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. A nation-wide event established in 1984, National Night Out brings communities together to strengthen neighborhood spirit and assist with crime prevention.Throughout the year, St. Louis Recreation Centers provide welcoming and safe places for children and adults alike to exercise, explore new interests, play their favorite sport and learn new ones. “Our recreation centers are popular community anchors in our neighborhoods, offering a place for community and positive outlets, where individuals of all ages can find positive, healthy activities and programs at no charge,” said Juakena Callion, City of St. Louis Commissioner of Recreation.Especially for at-risk youth, the recreation centers offer safe, organized activities and provide opportunities to learn leadership and team-building skills in a setting where our youth can build friendships and relationships to last a lifetime. “National Night Out is a time for our recreation centers to really shine and actively display all we have to offer and can do for our communities throughout the year,” said Greg Hayes, Director, Parks, Recreation, and Forestry. Below is a list of the City of St. Louis Recreation Centers participating in National Night Out and some of the activities to be offered.Members of the media who would like to cover this event are asked to join the 12th & Park Night Out and contact Christine Portell. 12th & Park Recreation Center (1410 S.
