The Rockies Aim to Sweep Series in St. Louis

The Colorado Rockies Look to Take Series Win Against St. Louis Cardinals

The Colorado Rockies have been neck and neck with the St. Louis Cardinals in this series, but today they have their sights set on a series win. After a victorious game last night, the Rockies are determined to continue their winning streak against the Cardinals. This marks their second win of the season against the Cardinals, a notable achievement for the team. In fact, it’s the first time in franchise history that the Rockies have shut out the Cardinals twice in one season.

Former Cardinal Austin Gomber Takes the Mound for the Rockies

Starting for the Rockies is none other than former Cardinal Austin Gomber. This will be his 11th start for the Rockies in the 2025 season. Gomber has had a bit of a rocky start with a 6.52 ERA in 49.2 innings pitched. However, he has managed to strike out 30 batters while only walking 14 and giving up 12 home runs. His WHIP stands at 1.57.

RHP Michael McGreevy Takes the Mound for the Cardinals

On the other side, RHP Michael McGreevy will be taking the mound for the Cardinals. Currently, he holds an ERA of 4.40 in 45.0 innings pitched. He has struck out 26 batters while only giving up seven walks and three home runs. His WHIP stands at 1.22.
