Remembering Nolan Arenado’s Time with the Colorado Rockies

It’s hard to believe that it’s been so long since Nolan Arenado graced the infield for the Colorado Rockies. The star third baseman, known for his incredible defensive skills and powerful bat, was a fan favorite during his time with the team.

But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. And for Arenado, that end came in February 2021 when he was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Recently, Rockies beat writer Patrick Saunders sat down with Cardinals insider Derrick Goold of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch to discuss Arenado’s time in Colorado and his transition to his new team.

When asked about the trade and how it has affected the Rockies, Goold shared that it was a difficult decision for the team to make, but ultimately they felt it was the best move for both parties involved.

He also mentioned that Arenado has quickly become a key player for the Cardinals, making an impact both on and off the field.

While it may feel like ages since Arenado was wearing purple and black, his legacy with the Rockies will always be remembered. And as he continues to thrive with the Cardinals, fans can’t help but wonder what could have been if he had stayed in Colorado.
