Former Cardinals Pitcher Erick Fedde Returns to NL Central with Brewers

Former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Erick Fedde is making a comeback in the National League Central Division, this time with the Milwaukee Brewers. The 2025 season saw Fedde start with the Cardinals, but he was later traded to the Atlanta Braves for cash after being designated for assignment by St. Louis in mid-July. However, his time with the Braves was short-lived as he was released on Sunday, only to sign a deal with the Brewers just three days later.

Fedde, who was once part of the Cardinals’ five-man starting rotation, struggled on the mound at Busch Stadium, resulting in him losing his spot after posting a disappointing 3-10 record with a 5.22 ERA in 20 starts. But now, he has a chance to redeem himself with the Brewers and prove that he still has what it takes to be a successful pitcher in the NL Central.
