Face-to-Face Assistance Still Available at Disaster Recovery Centers
September 12, 2025 | 2 min reading time
Attention all residents impacted by the May 16 tornado in the City of St. Louis: there is still time to receive in-person assistance from FEMA at the Disaster Recovery Centers.
From now until September 25, residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to receive face-to-face assistance with their disaster assistance applications. This is especially important for those whose homes or personal property sustained damage not covered by insurance.
FEMA staff will be available to help with applications, answer questions, and upload required documents. This is a great opportunity to get the help you need to recover from the tornado.
But even after September 25, there are still ways to stay in touch with FEMA. You can visit DisasterAssistance.gov, call 1-800-621-3362, or use the FEMA app to stay connected. FEMA may be able to provide financial assistance for home repairs, temporary housing, and essential personal property that was destroyed.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to FEMA for help with your recovery. The Disaster Recovery Centers are located at the Urban League Entrepreneurship and Women’s Business Center and Union Tabernacle M.B. Church. See below for their hours of operation.
