Mayor Cara Spencer Forms Committees to Guide St. Louis’ Recovery After Tornado
St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer has announced the creation of two committees to advise her and the newly established Recovery Office on the city’s recovery vision and priorities following the devastating May 16 tornado.
“Collaboration is key to our recovery,” said Mayor Spencer. “We cannot map out the recovery from within City Hall. These committees will give a voice to those whose lives were impacted by the tornado and those who have stepped up to serve in the aftermath.”
Resident and Community Recovery Advisory Committee
Residents, business owners, and community members who serve those in the impacted areas are invited to apply for the Resident and Community Recovery Advisory Committee. The application is available online and will be open until September 10 at 5 p.m.
Civic Leaders Recovery Advisory Committee
Mayor Spencer has also announced a diverse group of local leaders who will serve on the Civic Leaders Recovery Advisory Committee. This committee includes:
