Regal and Raymond Honored for Sportsmanship at State Amateur Baseball Tournament
The Minnesota Baseball Association recently honored Regal and Raymond for their outstanding sportsmanship at the state amateur baseball tournament over the past three weekends. Raymond received the J.M. and J.D. Brennan Sportsmanship Award for Class B, while Regal was recognized as the Class C recipient.
All-Tournament Team and Awards
Aidan Elfering of the Bird Island Bullfrogs and Tyler Steen of the Raymond Rockets were named to the Class B all-tournament team. The Fred Roufs MVP award for Class B went to Jackson Hunter of the Watertown Indians, while the Mike Davison Most Outstanding Pitcher Award was given to Blaine Hardy of the Nisswa Lightning. The MaxBat Maple Slugger Award was presented to Brady Schafer of the Cold Spring Springers, whose father was the 1985 MVP of the state tournament.
