Reds Break Losing Streak with 7-4 Win Against Cardinals

CINCINNATI – After a tough five-game losing streak, the Cincinnati Reds came out on top with a 7-4 victory against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. The game was a close one, with both teams putting up a strong fight until the end.
The Reds’ Austin Hays made a game-changing play with a two-run homer, while Matt McLain also contributed with a home run for the second game in a row. These big hits, along with a solid start by Brady Singer, helped the Reds avoid a series sweep by the Cardinals.
But the Cardinals didn’t go down without a fight. Rookie Jimmy Crooks, making his first start behind the plate, hit a home run off Sam Moll in the seventh inning for his first major league hit. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Reds’ lead.
Andre Pallante took the loss for the Cardinals, giving up five runs (two earned) on six hits and four walks in five innings. This marks the 12th loss in the last 13 starts for Pallante.
