St. Louis Cardinals: A Wild Year of Triumph and Changes

The St. Louis Cardinals have had quite the rollercoaster ride this year. From fighting their way back to finishing above .500 at 83-79, to securing second place in the National League Central, it’s safe to say they’ve had their fair share of ups and downs.

But amidst all the chaos, the Cardinals made some bold moves. They declined club options for players like Lance Lynn and Kyle Gibson, and even let go of star player Paul Goldschmidt in free agency. However, despite these changes, the team remained relatively quiet.

Letting go of Goldschmidt was undoubtedly the biggest decision for the Cardinals. The first baseman had been a key player for the team, but they ultimately decided to move on.
