Gil, making his third start of the season, was dominant on the mound, allowing only one run on four hits and three walks while striking out four batters over 5 1/3 innings. His performance earned him his first win of the season.

The Yankees’ bullpen also played a crucial role in securing the victory, with David Bednar pitching a scoreless ninth inning to earn his 19th save of the season and second for the Yankees.

On the offensive side, Chisholm’s home run in the second inning gave the Yankees an early lead and proved to be the deciding factor in the game.
